A beginning Android Pie Beta has a leak for the LG G6, bringing all the goodness of Android 9 to LG’s flagship product 2017.
The Korean company, which is not the most agile in providing major updates for Android, has scheduled the official Android Pie update for the G6 in the third quarter of 2020.
according to XDA developers@Backryun, a Telegram user, has come across the LG G6’s Android 9 Pie version, which @Pascal has confirmed to be a beta version of the European H870 variant. Later, a Redditor executed the construction and confirmed the speculation.
The update – version number PKQ1.190421.001 – includes all the features of the Android pie and is already very stable. It features two-button gesture navigation, a reworked screen recorder, dual-application mode, and the May 2019 security patch.
If you are using the European version H870, you can either flash the update via TWRP or use LGUP to load the update file from the side.
LG has not yet confirmed the release date of the stable update of Android Pie for the G6.
The update is even available for download thanks to the Redditor, @Rifum.
Compatibility: The files provided above are only compatible with the LG G6 model, H870.
