LG has not been the most reliable in providing one-off updates. But fortunately, when the updates are deployed, they tend to be very well developed and bug-free.
Like XDA developers, a beginning Android Pie beta at flight for the LG V30, bringing all the goodness of Android 9 to the smartphone 2017.
Back in April, it was reported that the three major devices of the V-V30 series, V35, and V40 – get the update in the next three months.
Although the official release date has still not been announced, the leaked beta proves that the update is upon us.
The full firmware is not available at this time, and you need to install the beta version of Pie as an OTA update. So be sure to install LGUP_Common_DLL_Ver_1_0_28_5.msi before running the update to avoid unnecessary and fatal error messages.
The beta version would work for these V30 models: H933, H930DS, H930G, H930D, H930, V300L, V300S and V300K.
