Google Allo 9.0 prepares for chat backups to Google Drive & external storage
The Google Allo does not have built-in functionality that allows users to save copies of chats for later viewing, but an APK disassembly of the latest version of the app shows that the feature might appear in a Future update.
It is not clear whether chat backups can be read and edited outside of Allo, or whether they will be in some sort of encrypted or proprietary format for security. In any case, backups will include things like pictures, emoji and other bits and bobs that accompany the text, even the files sent.
About APK Teardowns
In this ‘APK teardown,’ we’ve decompiled the latest version of an app that was uploaded to the Google Play Store. When an app (or an APK, to be specific, in the case of Android apps) is decompiled, we’re able to see various lines of code within that hint at possible future features. Keep in mind that Google may or may not ever ship these features, and our interpretation of what they are may be imperfect. With that in mind, read on.

A few weeks ago, we’ve found in the latest major such as Quick Self-Testing, Backup and Restore, and add photo stickers and more….
Google Drive & External Backups:
The first important thing that this update adds is additional proof of the app’s next ability to perform backups of your Google Allo data on Google Drive and external storage.
Quick selfie:
We see the new Quick Selfie feature (and showed you an initial glimpse of what it looks like) a few weeks ago, and Google Allo 9.0 adds some strings that confirm its existence and offer an idea of how Which will work users. Apparently, there will be an option to activate this feature as well as preview the live camera.
Selfie-generated sticker packs:
Another feature on which Google works at Allo that has been activated is the ability to add stickers to the photos you take – the Snapchat. It allows you to choose between different stickers that you can already send out normal conversations.
Group incognito chats:
We found that group conversations would soon be able to activate Incognito mode, and Allo version 9.0 adds another string specifically called a “group incognito” function.
Finally, the functionality allowing users to make sticker packs from their own selfies is back in effect after being deleted in previous updates. You can Download Google Allo 9.0 Apk, and none of these features is available to the user. It can be assumed that some or even all of them are almost completed at this point and could even be activated on the server without an upgrade if Google chose to approach them this way.
